Writer describes experience with door-to-door salespeople

This story a followup on behavior of door to door salespeople in Green County, which appears more to be a comment on sales tactics than on illegal intentions. The following a story from a reader in Hardin County commenting on recent complaints in Green County.

By Jane Harper

I live in Stephensburg, KY (Hardin Co.)

Man and woman pulled in my driveway in the same color van you described in the story and sloppily dressed man got out carrying a bottle of Snuggle fabric softener. Trilby Vance at the big Sonny's Woodcrafts

2014-10-10 - Corner Public Square & Jamestown Street, Downtown Columbia KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. Trilby Vance peeked out from the Sonny's Woodcrafts display tents, where she was preparing displays for tomorrow's downtown days. The drizzle Friday evening was tougher on crafts shops attendance than for the food vendors, it seemed, but Sonny's and other vendors think tomorrow will be a great day. Sonny's Woodcrafts always has an interesting line, including old time wooden trucks and other wooden toys. The delightful shop will be open today, 11 Oct 2104.

Mrs. Davenport is doing a great job so far with tons of contributions to the school and her students.

She recently attended the Kentucky Art Educators fall conference and after evaluating her students work created under the tutelage of her predecessor Mrs. Wimmer, Mrs. Davenport found two exceptional pieces and with the students permission, entered them into the state wide competition held during the conference.

Both young ladies far exceeded all expectations. Anna Parson's received Second Place and Best Overall in the Sculpture Category while Beka Janes received First Place in the Sculpture Category.
