After the retirement of Mrs. Debra Wimmer last year the Adair County High School hired Cayce Davenport to take over their Art Department.

Mrs. Davenport is doing a great job so far with tons of contributions to the school and her students.

She recently attended the Kentucky Art Educators fall conference and after evaluating her students work created under the tutelage of her predecessor Mrs. Wimmer, Mrs. Davenport found two exceptional pieces and with the students permission, entered them into the state wide competition held during the conference.

Both young ladies far exceeded all expectations. Anna Parson's received Second Place and Best Overall in the Sculpture Category while Beka Janes received First Place in the Sculpture Category. When asked about the event and the girls success Mrs. Davenport gave all praises to Mrs. Wimmer and her new students.
