LWC Cycling hosts Mountain Bike Regionals this weekend Action begins on Saturday at the Aaron Property in Columbia, Kentucky, continues on Sunday at Green River State Park in Campbellsville, Kentucky Click on headline for complete story, schedule for individual events for both Saturday & Sunday By Matthew Stokes News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA , KY - The Lindsey Wilson College cycling team hosts the Mountain Bike Regionals this weekend, beginning at 9amCT on Saturday, October 11, 2014, at the Aaron Property, 243 Bomar Heights, Columbia, KY 42728. The regionals continue at 8amCT on Sunday, October 12, 2014, at the Green River State Park, 49 Kentahten Trail, Campbellsville, KY 42718. To open the competition on Saturday, the short track cross country section features the men's A group at 9amCT with the men's B group set for 9:35amCT. The women's A and B groups both start at 10:20amCT, and will be followed by the men's C and D groups at 11amCT. Both the men's and women's A races will last 20 minutes with two additional laps, while the men's and women's B, and the men's C/D races will last 15 minute with two additional laps. The final portion of Saturday's action is the men's and women's dual slalom event at 12pmCT. The new and improved dual slalom course course consists of step ups, step downs, doubles, rollers and rock gardens. On Sunday morning, the cross country event held at Green River State Park in Campbellsville rolls out at 8amCT with the 24 mile men's A group race. The 16 mile men's B group will follow at 8:05amCT. Shortly after, the 16 mile women's A group race begins at 8:10amCT and will be followed by the women's B group eight mile race at 8:15amCT. The men's C and D groups each compete at 8:20amCT in the eight mile event. In the final section of this weekend, the men's and women's downhill event is scheduled for 12pmCT.
