GCSO Sheriff Beard locates van, checks out persons of interest Van located, persons check out OK, Larry Smith reports. Earlier story: Green Co. Sheriff Robbie Beard asks for help locating two men By Larry Smith, 99.9 The Big Dawg radio Green County Sheriff Robbie Beard has located the van and the persons of interest and was able to identify them; everything checked out to his satisfaction. He said the situation basically worked out to a somewhat aggressive sales approach prompted the complaint. Sheriff Beard praised the people who called the Green County Sheriff's Office about the incident. He said welcome any and all reports from any person who has reason to suspect motives or believe they have been subjected to questionable behavior. He told 99.9 The Big Dawg that his goal to to keep Green County safe and wants to send a strong message to anyone even thinking of taking advantage of Green County residents to know ahead of time that the Green County Sheriff's Office will investigate their activities when warranted. Investigation into other complaints if a similar nature is ongoing. That's my hometown, and this is the world we live in today. Green Countians are the most hospitable, friendly people in the world for homefolks, neighbors, and especially visitors - but it's no place to be if you are bent toward mischief, that for sure.
