Granny Nannie: on copyright laws

Granny Nannie comment that she's been researching copyright laws . . .
  1. EVERYTHING on the Internet is copyrighted, whether or not it says it is.
  2. If something says "royalty free" that does not mean it is free to download and use however you want to. "Royalty free" means you can purchase the artwork and use it as many times as you wish without paying a fee for each and every time you use it.
  3. If something says it is "free" there is usually a stipulation that the image is for personal use only, which means you can't use it for a business or organization.

Brenda Henson: Thanks for community support for Reece family

See Also: - Community says goodbye to Anthony & Tammy Reece

Brenda Henson writes:
The Waggeners, Thank you for all the kind words and pictures. She lived for her boys, the lord no to take her home first. Anthony was her baby boy. She worked hard to provide for her boys. There were times it was hard for her, but she never gave up. She was a wonderful mother and sister. Anthony was like his mother, hard working and cleaning. I sure miss them. God knew best we don't know why this happened, only God knows.

I would like to say a big thanks to all who showed so much support, Grissom Funeral Home, thanks to JJ, Blake and Kathy. The Columbia Christian Church and all who helped with the wonderful meal. Flowers and Things worked long hours to get all the beautiful flowers there. Also a big thank you to Melissa Cundiff for her respect to the family. Her business was closed Saturday, that showed so much respect. Thanks to everyone and God bless, all my love to all, thank you. --Brenda Henson

Columbia Walmart adds efficiency while also adding jobs

By Linda Waggener

Columbia's Walmart now offers a new self checkout option at the front of the store on the food side. Manager Drew Mitchell said it has gone well, on the first day 275 people used the new service in the first few hours. He said many people are able to go right through it because they've used self check in other businesses where it's offered, however, for all who are new to the concept of self checkout there will always be a host available to help.
