CIS school year to start August 8, 2016 By Calen McKinney, Public Information Officer Campbellsville Independent Schools Campbellsville Independent Schools’ students will now begin the 2016-2017 school year on Monday, August 8, 2016. Opening day for all CIS students has been moved from Wednesday, August 3, to Monday, August 8, 2016, because of construction at Campbellsville Elementary School. As a result of the change, students will now attend school all day on Fridays from August 12 through September 2, 2016. Early release Fridays will begin after Labor Day, on Friday, September 9, 2016.
