MBA program latest addition to Lindsey Online

Lindsey Wilson College's online program, Lindsey Online, is now offering a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a Lean or General Business emphasis. The program can be completed in as little as 18 months. The total cost of the program is up to $18,500, while the average cost to receive an MBA often exceeds $50,000.

The online MBA program was structured with the working adult in mind. It provides a flexible option for professionals who want to pursue a graduate degree to get ahead in their careers.

"Now more than ever, we must all be life-long learners," said Linda McKinley-Grider, chair of the Business & CIS Division at Lindsey. "In order to be the most competitive in the marketplace and workplace, an advanced degree is essential."

Students enrolled in the online MBA program can expect only the best from both the General Business and Lean emphases.

"The General Business MBA, offered totally online, has a very versatile curriculum and would prepare the student for a wide spectrum of jobs," said Grider, "Lean is a concept that is being practiced by all types of organizations. Employees with the knowledge of Lean and the skills to implement it are highly recruited by employers and valued as contributors to the success and leadership in the organization." The Lean classes are a combination of classroom and online teaching, with classes held in Louisville, Kentucky.

Lindsey Online has partnered with the Institute for Lean Systems (ILS) to ensure students are trained by the best. ILS is a global consulting company that trains management in how to transform an organization into the most efficient, cost-effective organization it can be. Their management staff has been trained not only to teach in the workplace, but in the classroom as well.

"Because of their qualifications and expertise, they will be teaching the hands-on classes for the Lean emphasis," said Grider. "This will be extremely helpful to students because they will have the opportunity to learn the concepts firsthand and under the instruction of experts in the field."

Covering 36-37 credit hours of study, students will be prepared for a wide range of careers in business. Practical and theoretical coursework will deliver the opportunity to apply knowledge and skills or project development to benefit the student's current or future work place.
