Remembering Beulah Arnold: A life well lived

Click on headline for story with photo at the reunion

Ben Arnold writes:
I was just setting with Lorena on Saturday at the Arnold reunion. We spoke of her younger sister Beulah, 101, who just passed away the next day. Two most beautiful ladies who have lived those quintessential full lives; filled with love and service to others. As kids we loved to hear the stories of her missionary work in far off places. Ashley Miller: Public Thanks to AHA and Ellen Zornes

'A city is just a place until people make it feel like home. From this Adair County transplant, thank you Adair Heritage Association for making Columbia feel more like home.' - Ashley Miller

The next previous column by Harry Mack: The phone is ringing again. And again. And again

By Harry Mack,(c), 2015
Posted with permission on CM

Timmy was watching as a group of his classmates gathered around Billy Bonner in the school yard. Billy was new to Timmy's school. He moved to the small Central Kentucky town where Timmy and his family lived from the big city of Louisville.

There was something about Billy that the other kids liked. Timmy thought that it was because Billy was the newest boy in the school. Billy was good at telling jokes and stories to make the other kids laugh. He also dressed differently than the other kids. To a grownup, Billy looked sloppy in the way he dressed, but the rest of the kids thought it was cool.
