Jo Ann Coffey, 78, of Russell Springs, KY, died Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at her home.

Funeral services for Jo Ann Coffey will be 11amCT, Friday, October 16, 2015 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with burial in the Lucenda Cemetery in Russell County, KY. Visitation after be after 5pmCT, Thursday, October 15, 2015, at the funeral home.


Jo Ann Coffey, 78, Russell Co., KY (1937-2015)


She was born June 8, 1937, in Russell County, KY. She was daughter of the late Osborn & Mattie Pruitt Bernard. She died Wednesday, October 14, 2015, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 78 years, four months, and six days.

She was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo Coffey; a daughter, Connie Brenner; three sisters, Reva Lee, Dean Cobb, Mae Gossage; and two brothers, Larry Bernard, and Jesse Bernard Survivors include the following:
  • Two daughters: Teresa (Dan) Leonard, Greenwood, IN; and Sherry (Brad) Troyer, Indiana

  • Eight grandchildren

  • Several great grandchildren

  • One sister: Lynn (Tommy) Robertson, Russell Springs, KY

  • Threee brothers: Jack Bernard, Jimmy (Connie) Bernard, and Ricky (Jackie) Bernard, all of Russell Springs, KY
