Adair County Treasurer Barry Corbin's report got a unanimous vote to receive, 6-0, at last night's October 13, 2015 Fiscal Court meeting. Mr. Corbin reported a reconciled cash balance as of September 30, 2015, of $1,148,816.95, in a document included in the court's pre-meeting packet.

Sheriff Harrison Moss did not give a figure, said that tax receipts are coming in at a good pace.

Treasurer Corbin asked for, and received, authorization on an if-needed basis, to make necessary budget transfers during the month.

The magistrates voted to pay bills, except for a bill Judge Stephens recommended for Columbia Controls.

It was for work done and approved by Jailer Joey White at the jail, and included ongoing out-of-pocket payments made by Columbia Controls.

Judge Stephens also recommended that the issue of past, disputed rent payments should be resolved, based on in-kind work done by Columbia Controls when the company leased space in the Historic Courthouse, but the five magistrates present voted 5-0 not to approve, with Judge Stephens casting the one dissenting vote, making the final tally 5-1.

The court also voted to pay bills for the upcoming November 3, 2015, general election.
