Ronnie Cox, 63, Taylor Co., KY (1952-2015)

He was owner and operator of Ronnie's Body Shop. He was born in Indiana and was a resident of Campbellsville, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Hubert and Evelyn Noel Cox. His wife, Gail Cox survives. He leaves three direct living descendants.

Ronnie Cox, age 63 of Old Greensburg Road, Campbellsville, KY, died Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at University Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Funeral services for Ronnie Cox will be held at 12pmCT/1pmET, Saturday, October 16, 2015, at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home, 503 E Main Street, Campbellsville, KY, with burial in the Jones Chapel Cemetery. The family requests visitation from 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, at the funeral home.


Ronnie was born, Ronald Edwin Cox July 1, 1952 in Shelbyville, Indiana. He was the son of the late Hubert and Evelyn Noel Cox. He died Tuesday, October 13, 2015, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 63 years, three months, and 12 days.

He was owner and operator of Ronnie's Body Shop.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmie, Jerry, Mitchell, David, Roger, Wendell, J.V. and Bobby Cox and sisters, Retta Noel and Brenda Cox.

He is survived by his wife Gail Cox, and the following:
  • One daughter: Misty Madson of Campbellsville, KY

  • Three brothers: Timmy Cox, and his wife, Jeannie and Lewis Cox all of Campbellsville, KY; and Carroll Cox, and his wife Cathy of Maryland

  • Four sisters: Doris Williams, Patsy McDonald, Peggy Gilbert and her husband, Bobby and Lana Pendleton, all of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Sarah and Johnathan Madson
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of donations to the funeral expenses.
