It seems, according to Google Maps, that Portland, Milltown and Columbia are located on and along the banks of Green River. It seems that Green River begins at the confluence of Russell Creek and Little Clifty Creek, just about a half mile North of the intersection of Freedom Church Road and Ivy Lane. It's thick as a brick on KY 55 especial in the Fog Belt of Cane Valley, Kelleyville and Coburg.
