COLUMBIA, Ky. - Lindsey Wilson seniors Branden Cresap, Dakota Brown, Chaz Barnes, Corrion Cooper and Andrew Wahl will serve as team captains for the 2014 Blue Raider football season, head coach Chris Oliver announced today.

"I am thrilled to have these five young men representing our program as our 2014 team captains," Oliver said. "The leadership that they display in the many facets of our program is impressive to watch."

For Cresap and Cooper, it marks the second season to be named a team captain after also receiving the honor in 2013.

The five Blue Raiders helped lead Lindsey Wilson to a program-best eight wins in 2013 and achieve a No. 14 ranking in the NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll.

"We believe that their leadership, along with that from our other upperclassmen, will give our program an opportunity to take another step forward," Oliver said.

Lindsey Wilson opens the 2014 season on at 6:30pmCT/7:30pmET Thursday, August 28, 2014, against rival Campbellsville (KY) , at Campbellsville University's Finley Stadium, 204 Tiger Way, Campbellsville, KY. - Charles Balcom, Lindsey Wilson College
