Civil Discourse: Students learn to air perspectives on hunting

Concept of Civil Discourse taught in Classroom: Each one stated their viewpoint (though each person viewed the idea differently) with great respect for those who view things differently from them. That is what I want my students to see. People can agree and/or disagree about topics, but it is in being respectful of those differences that can make the difference. - LEA ANN PARNELL

(Ad) Check classified ads for opportunities to be a hero

CM Classifieds can help find Christmas Spirit opportunities

On most days, there's some great opportunities to be a hero, a Good Samaritan, a good chance to practice the Golden Rule by just doing a quick scan of CM classifieds.

Today, you could make one person very happy by helping her find the Diamond Engagement Ring she lost several months ago, listed in Lost & Found

If you have a photo of Coomer's Restaurant, you'd be a hero for a family member who is searching for them in Wanted And, in the same category, find chances to do good deeds by volunteering to wrap packages at Amazon this Christmas and help a rescue, or help the great volunteer group, Adair County Garden Club, by simply giving them your bagged leaves.

Always, there are needs for the animals in ANIMALS Right now, one of the standout needs is to help a Friendly Dog and a Cute Puppy get their Christmas Dream - if Dogs have such things - and get back to their home(s).

The examples are but a few. CM Classifieds. Throughout the page, every day, often almost every hour, there's something new. We hope you'll scan them every day - not only for opportunities for yourself, but also to get into the spirit of the Adair County Way - practicing the Golden Rule, taking every opportunity to help others - especially at Christmas time.
