LWC Soccer/Men open national title bid at Reuling

COLUMBIA, KY - No. 4 Lindsey Wilson men's soccer hosts Park (MO) University in the 2013 NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship Opening Round LWC Soccer/Men host Park University at Walter S. Reuling Stadium, 151 Holloway DR, Columbia, KY at 3pmCT/4pmET, Saturday, November 23, 2013.



The Blue Raiders (14-3-2, 8-0-1 MSC) are the No. 2 seed in the bracket. This is Lindsey Wilson's 21st championship appearance winning 48 games and nine national titles.

Yazeed Davids and Xavier Baumgart lead all Blue Raiders with 24 points each this season. Davids has eight goals and eight assists in 17 games this season while Baumgart has 10 goals and four assists in 15 games. Tom Moody has 20 points - seven goals and six assists - in 19 games played.

Musa Mawanda, Jordan Hall and the rest of the Blue Raider defenders allow .79 goals per game while only allowing 51 shots on goal during the season - less than three shots per game. Lindsey Wilson is ranked 13th in the NAIA in total shutouts with eight.

Park (11-5, 8-2 AMC) won the American Midwest Conference Tournament Championship. The Pirates are led by Carlos Trombini Filho who has eight goals and nine assists. George Kennedy is second in goals with eight while Lucas Sousa has nine assists. Ryan Miller and Reece Harris split time in net with Miller getting 12 starts.
