Remembers great food at Coomers Restaurant

Richard Shepherd writes:
I, too. have many happy remembrances of "eatin' out" at Coomers Restaurant. My favorite was the hot roast beef & mashed potatoes, yum, yum. In my mind's eye, I can still see my dad & I sitting at the counter, visiting with the wait staff, & enjoying our meal. It seems that the older we get the more the good memories of past years flood our minds of a much quieter, more simple time. - Richard Shepherd

As Dirigo is a new place perhaps some of the readers would be glad to know where it is. It is on Harrods Fork, near the old monument--one of the grandest natural scenes in the commonwealth. Although a new town we have one dry goods store, a Post-Office, two saw mills in operation and another to start in the near future. - (Adair County News, January 17, 1906)

Joe Stotts"); and with a new business enterprise ("Mose Wooten has bought a saw mill which he is installing in this place.")
