LWC Golf: Koizumi takes 2nd, St. Catharine College Invitational By Jay R. Nicols News from Lindsey Wilson College BARDSTOWN, KY - The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team finished in third place at the St. Catharine Fall Invitational shooting a team score of 643 (331-312). The Blue Raiders finished 28 strokes behind University of the Cumberlands (KY) who shot a 39-over par 615 (308-309) to finish in first place. Madonna (Livonia, MI) University finished in second place with a final score of 63-over par 639 (320-319). Sara Koizumi led the Blue Raiders finishing second with a 2-over par 74 on the final day of the Iniviational to finish 9-over par 153. Koizumi had four birdies over the two-day event to finish two strokes behind Taylor Gillis from Cumberlands (Williamsburg, KY) who shot a 7-over par 151 (79-72). Kaitlin Allan finished in fifth place after shooting a 5-over par 77 on day two to finish 12-over par 156 (79-77). Allan finished with 20 pars over the two-day Invitational. Candace Stacy shot a 6-over par 78 to finish in 19th place with a 22-over par 166 (88-78). Courtney Swindle had four birdies during the two-day event to finish tied for 24th place with a 24-over par 168 (85-83). Amy Brown finished in a tie for 38th place with a 33-over par 177 (91-86). Lindsey Wilson women's golf travels to the Chick-fil-A Collegiate at Stonebridge Golf Club in Rome, GA, On October 21.
