Adair Co., KY needs more familes to follow Hardscratch example

About: How We "Got Rich" in the Country Store Business by Ken Hill of Hardscratch Grocery.

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

This is a very touching, heart warming story. We just need more families to take chances like this one. There aren't very many country stores left in Adair County. This one sounds to be extra special. Im sure they did a lot of sacficeing for this store and with God's help it has been a success. Good luck in the future and God Bless you all.

s/Sharon Garmon

Thanks. Too many people forget how important the stores are to communities and to tourists until we go to a village and find there isn't a country store there anymore. After the Flatwoods Grocery closed, one businessman said it would be worth at least $100 a month to him to have the store open again. -EW
