Melewi: Anyone else has seen bobcat near the Jim Blair Center?

Melewi writes:
My husband and I were on the by pass around noon today headed toward 55 north. We were almost to the Jim Blair Center exit when something large ran from right to left in front of the car. It moved like a cat and it had no tail we think it was a bob cat but don\'t know for sure. Just wondering if anyone else has seen anything in that area? melewi --melewi
Thanks for sharing the news: Bobcats aren't that uncommon in the area. Maybe someone will document it with a photo. - CM

Kentucky Color: Springtime is sowing time

Click on headline for essay with photo(s)

By Billy Joe Fudge

Springtime in South Central Kentucky has always been a time to sow in anticipation of a time of harvest.

Farming and farmers have now given way to agriculture and agriculturalists and although the method and manner have changed, the labor of sowing for the reward of the harvest has not.

Don't forget to thank a farmer (agriculturalist) for the bounty of plenty at your local farmers' market and or at your local supermarket. - BILLY JOE FUDGE

What if it rains? This is a question I hear almost every week. What if it rains - will there be a farmer's market? Rain, yes even light snow is OK. severe storms, tornados, hail probably not.
