By Barbara Armitage, Market Coordinator

What if it rains? This is a question I hear almost every week. What if it rains - will there be a farmer's market? Rain, yes even light snow is OK. severe storms, tornados, hail probably not.

I'm always excited by the number of devoted customers who will bundle up or grab an umbrella in order to shop at the Farmer's Market on the Square. The forecast for Saturday is rain with a side of fresh locally grown produce and homemade goodies. I'll see you there! PS - On rainy days be sure to visit the ol' Adair County Courthouse for "Crafter's Court". You'll find many of the FM2 crafters inside during bad weather. Farmer's are used to getting wet so we'll still be in the parking lot!

Entertainment: Christopher Anderson will be sharing his music at the Farmers Market on the Square. Come listen to a wide variety including Bluegrass, Gospel, Country, Contemporary, and Praise music. Come and give a listen to Chris. If bad weather threatens, Chris has agreed to entertain us on the following Saturday, May 17, 2014.

Special Guests: The Adair County Library will be reading "Planting a Rainbow" by Lois Ehlert. Kids can create their own rainbow garden using stickers and colored paper.

Special Raffle to benefit the Farmers Market on the Square:
Custom built UK Fishing Rod, a $500.00 value, designed and built by Jeremy McCasland of Highland Acres Farm. Tickets $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. Drawing at 1pmCT Saturday, May 24, 2014.
