Bruce Harris speaker at Lindsey Wilson 2014 Founders Day

By Duane Bonifer

Lindsey Wilson College's annual Founders' Day Dinner will be held at 6pmCT, Thursday, April 24, 2014, at the Roberta D. Cranmer Dining & Conference Center, 430 Helen Flatt Drive, Columbia, KY. The keynote address will be given by LWC alumnus Bruce Harris of Birmingham, AL.

Harris, who is a professional affairs specialist with Alabama-based American Pharmacy Cooperative Inc., graduated from LWC in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in biology with minor in chemistry and Christian ministries. He earned a doctorate of pharmacy from Samford (AL) University, where he attended its McWhorter School of Pharmacy.

"The life I know and that I enjoy is far better because of my experience at Lindsey Wilson College," said Harris, who grew up in Bandana, KY "It is difficult for me to articulate what an indelible impact Lindsey Wilson College left on my life. It's hard to put into words how you take a student like myself, who grew up on a free-lunch program in school, did fairly well at Lindsey Wilson and then went on to pharmacy school at Samford. None of that would have taken place if Lindsey Wilson College had not been part of the equation."
