Elder Royce F. Hart, Russell County, KY (1936-2014)

He was a highly regarded member of the community. He was a carpenter, electrician, Minister and was a member of the Salem United Baptist Church. He was a native of Russell County, KY, and a resident at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Lilburn Ray & Jewell Bradshaw Hart. His wife, Rhodena Lee Robertson Hart, survives. He leaves 13 direct living descendants.

Elder Royce F. Hart, 77, of Russell Springs, KY died Friday, April 18, 2014 at his home.

Funeral service for Elder Royce F. Hart will be 10amCT, Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the Salem United Baptist Church with Elder Larold Gosser & Elder James Robertson officiating. Friends may call after 3pmCT, Monday, April 21, 2014, at the Bernard Funeral Home, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Jason Shanks, Paul Barger, Ben Hammond, John Luttrell, Todd Wilson, and Tony Wilson.

Elder Royce F. Hart, Russell County, KY(1936-2014)

He was born July 22, 1936 in Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Lilburn Ray & Jewell Bradshaw Hart. He died Friday, April 18, 2014, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 77 years, 8 months, and 27 days.

He was a carpenter, electrician, Minister and was a member of the Salem United Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Ray, Donald, and Ronald Hart. Survivors include his wife Rhodena Lee Robertson Hart, and the following:
  • Three children: Wayne (Teresa) Hart; Rhonda (David) Hammond; Rodney (Marsha) Hart, all of Russell Springs, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Laura Shanks, Lesley Barger, Ben Hamond, Rachael Luttrell, Baylee Hart

  • Five great grandchildren: Elizabeth Shanks, Andrew Shanks, Callie Barger, Jamison Barger, and Molly Hammond

  • One brother: Randy (Lisha) Hart, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two sisters: Roberta (Charles) Cole, Columbia, KY; and Redith (Paul) Wilson, Russell Springs, KY
