Easier to stay strong with hometown support 'The kindness, assistance, and prayers of my hometown people has sparked new hope and a revival of faith in my worried and bewildered heart.' - Angela Burton Farrer By Angela Burton Farrer I am addressing this message to the caring and compassionate people of my hometown, Columbia, KY. I would like to publicly thank our friends and neighbors for their incredible kindness and support throughout Talyn's cardiopulmonary illness and surgeries. I am so gracious to you all for offering emotional and financial support to my family during this time of hardship. When a crisis occurs with your child, yes, even your adult child, as a parent, you cannot help but feel helpless. All you can do is try to remain strong for yourself, but most importantly for your child. This is much easier said than done and when you have good friends, family and an amazing hometown to turn to, it becomes significantly easier. Prior to this public out-pour of support, I often found myself feeling very frightened and alone. However, The kindness, assistance, and prayers of my hometown people has sparked new hope and a revival of faith in my worried and bewildered heart. --Angela Burton Farrer Comments re article 64720 Shamarie Claiborne A miracle is needed for Angel's son 2014-01-22 11:53:32 | Comments | Printable version

Shelbyvillian wants to help Talyn Wheeler Followup: Shamarie Claiborne: A miracle is needed for Angel's son By Shamarie Claiborne Just a quick note to thank everyone for the prayers going up for Talyn. I had someone message me from Shelbyville, KY wanting to know how to send money if you did not live here in Columbia. It is simple you send to the following address: Bank of ColumbiaPut a note saying to deposit in Angela Farrer for Talyn Wheeler Account Just so everyone knows where the money will go: Tayln's out of pocket expense for his medication each month after his private insurance pays is $400. Also, the hospitality house costs them $18 dollars a day. That may not seem like much but for a thirty day period it is $540 dollars; then there is food and personal hygiene to consider. It is not cheap being sick in this day and age. Again, I would like to thank everyone in advance for your generosity not only financially but spiritually. Hope everyone has a blessed day. - Shamarie 2014-01-22 07:58:32 | Comments | Printable version
