Easier to stay strong with hometown support

'The kindness, assistance, and prayers of my hometown people has sparked new hope and a revival of faith in my worried and bewildered heart.' - Angela Burton Farrer

By Angela Burton Farrer

I am addressing this message to the caring and compassionate people of my hometown, Columbia, KY.

I would like to publicly thank our friends and neighbors for their incredible kindness and support throughout Talyn's cardiopulmonary illness and surgeries. I am so gracious to you all for offering emotional and financial support to my family during this time of hardship.

When a crisis occurs with your child, yes, even your adult child, as a parent, you cannot help but feel helpless. All you can do is try to remain strong for yourself, but most importantly for your child. This is much easier said than done and when you have good friends, family and an amazing hometown to turn to, it becomes significantly easier.

Prior to this public out-pour of support, I often found myself feeling very frightened and alone. However, The kindness, assistance, and prayers of my hometown people has sparked new hope and a revival of faith in my worried and bewildered heart. --Angela Burton Farrer
