LWC Softball No. 11 in NAIA preseason Top-25 Poll By Pierce Yarberry News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY- The NAIA Softball Coaches' Preseason Top 25 Poll was released on Tuesday by the national office.Lindsey Wilson ranks No. 11, earning 384 total points after posting a 50-10 record during the 2013 season. Lindsey Wilson split last year's regular season title with Campbellsville (KY) and defeated Cumberland (Lebanon, TN) to win the team's fourth consecutive Mid-South Conference Tournament. The Blue Raiders ended their season after falling in the NAIA National Championship Opening Round. Concordia (CA) won its first NAIA National Championship last year and sits atop the rankings with 591 total points. Concordia received 20-of-21 first-place votes and is No. 1 for the 10th coaches' poll in a row. National runner-up Spring Hill (AL) took the other first-place vote and sits at No. 2 with 572 total points. Oklahoma City rounds out the top three with 543 points. Campbellsville, which is receiving votes with 56 points, is the only other Mid-South Conference team represented in the poll. The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences, independents and unaffiliated groupings.
