Superintendent Reed advises super warm clothing this morning

For a list of area Schools Open/Schools Closed today, see CM Events and listen to coordinated news reports by Larry Smith, FM 92.7 and FM 99.9.

Adair County School Superintendent Alan W. Reed asks parents to remember to dress children for the challenges of the bitter cold this morning.

"We're ready to have school today," he said. "We've check the classrooms and made sure they will be toasty warm today," he said, "and the busses will be warm and comfortable, too." He asks parents to pay extra attention to clothing this morning, to make sure kids are warm while at bus stops.

Mr. Reed said that the school calendar will be addressed at tomorrow night's Adair County School Board's special (special because of a change from the regular 3rd Thursday to the 4th Thursday meeting time) school board meeting. (AGENDA)

Indications are, he said, that the additional days will simply be tacked on to the end of school. At this point, that will have the end of school near the end of May, 2014.
