Conway asks Congress to fund anti-human trafficking programs

Human trafficking is modern-day slavery. It's happening across the country, including right here in Kentucky. This is mission-critical funding necessary to better protect victims of human trafficking and prosecute traffickers. Trafficking also occurs in forms of labor exploitation, such as domestic servitude, restaurant work, janitorial work, sweatshop factory work and migrant agricultural work.

By Daniel Kemp, Deputy Communications Director
KY Attorney General Jack Conway's office

Attorney General Jack Conway, along with 46 other state and territorial attorneys general, sent a letter today asking Congress to fund the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act (TVPRA). This funding would go toward programs that fight human trafficking in the United States and abroad.
