The Blue Raiders (11-1, 1-1 MSC) opened the game with a three-pointer from Tara Arnold, who scored a career-high 16 points on the night. Berea would answer with a three of its own from Johnesha Warren, then take its only lead when Anna Loveless made a field goal to make it 5-3. The Mountaineers were able to stay in the game converting 8-of-10 free throws to trail 31-22 heading into the locker room.
