Special to ColumbiaMagazine.com The Adair County Indians improved to 3-2 on the season and 1-2 in district play with a 52-42 victory over the Campbellsville Eagles. The Eagles dropped to 0-4 and 0-2. The Eagles jumped out to a 7-1 lead before the Indians went on a 10-2 run to lead 11-9 after one period. The Indians went on a 18-7 run in the second period to go up 29-16 at halftime. Adair scored the first 3 points of the third period to go up 32-16 but then they had to fend off a Campbellsville rally. The Tribe led 36-26 after three periods. The Eagles pulled to within 43-40 with over three minutes to play before a three point play and 2 free throws by Chance Melton and a Zach Hutchison trey put the game away. The Indians were led by Matt Fudge's 14 points. Rounding out the scoring were Hutchison 12, Jake Hixson 9, Melton 7, Marshall Shelley 6, Ty Bennett 3, and Jacob Pooler 1.
