Western Kentucky University, 500 Hilltopper Way, Glasgow, KY

GLASGOW, KY - October 18, 2013 - In the four years that the WKU Sisterhood has awarded grant funds to various organizations and causes throughout the WKU community, no one from a WKU regional campus ever applied. That streak ended last Tuesday when WKU-Glasgow student, Natalie Raymer, submitted a proposal. Although Raymer's proposal did not win a grant award, it was selected as one of six finalists out of over thirty proposals. In addition, Raymer, who made a formal presentation to the Sisterhood at a luncheon on Tuesday at the WKU Augenstein Alumni Center, was the first WKU student to ever do so.

2,500 to 3,500??? 5,000 more people in Columbia???

By Shamarie Claiborne
News from ADAIR Band

With the weather forecast looking good, tomorrow may turn out to be a day like Columbia has never seen before, when the KMEA Marching Band Regional Competition comes to Blue Raider Stadium for the first time ever in Adair County.

Conservatively, there should be from 2,500 to 3,500 visitors at the stadium during the course of the day. It will be no surprise to me if there are 5,000 here additional people in Columbia for the day!!!
