Tomorrow is a Huge Day for ADAIR County

2,500 to 3,500??? 5,000 more people in Columbia???

By Shamarie Claiborne
News from ADAIR Band

With the weather forecast looking good, tomorrow may turn out to be a day like Columbia has never seen before, when the KMEA Marching Band Regional Competition comes to Blue Raider Stadium for the first time ever in Adair County.

Conservatively, there should be from 2,500 to 3,500 visitors at the stadium during the course of the day. It will be no surprise to me if there are 5,000 here additional people in Columbia for the day!!!

It's a great day for Columbia/Adair County to show off what we have here, and to make a lot of friends on this day. Of course we want to our kids to win. We're very competitive, and we won't cede an inch in competition.

But we also want these fans from the 11 other communities given the same kind of hospitality and courtesy we've been shown everywhere ADAIR travels.

This is one huge opportunity. For sure - it's a great chance for everybody in Adair County to see what these kids are doing - why they are just good ambassadors for Columbia/Adair County! See you at Blue Raider Stadium, at 2pmCT, Saturday, October 19, 2013. Be there! Go ADAIR!!!! - Shamarie Claiborne
