Mrs. Bonnie Ann Key Phelps, age 79, of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at The University Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 2pmCT, in The Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with Bro. Neil Tremblett and Bro. Jacob Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in the Capps-Key Cemetery in Cumberland Co., KY. The Family will receive friends after 11amCT, Saturday October 19, 2013 until the funeral hour Saturday.




Mrs. Bonnie Ann Key Phelps, Cumberland Co., KY (1933-2013)


She was born in Cumberland County, KY, on Thursday, December 28, 1933, the daughter of Willie and Annie Murley Key. She died Wednesday, October 16, 2013, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 79 years, 9 months, and 19 days.

She was a member of The Burkesville Church of Christ and a Bank Teller for A.F. and B. Bank in Indianapolis, Indiana.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Vassie Coop, and her brothers, Paul Key and Lloyd Key.

She is survived by the following:
  • Her sister-in-law: Ocie Sharp Key of Burkesville, KY

  • Nephews: Bill (and Carol) Coop of Indianapolis, IN; Bob (and Suzanne) Coop of Brownsburg, IN

  • Nieces: Peggy (and Stan) Humphries of Simpsonville, KY;, Pam (and Steve) Clark of Brentwood, TN; Paula (and Kevin) Alford of Tallahassee, FL
The family would appreciate contributions in Bonnie's memory to The Cumberland County We Care organization, and may be left at the Funeral Home. Professional service provided by Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky.
