KINGSPORT, TN - Third-seeded Lindsey Wilson punched its ticket into the Mid-South Conference Tournament championship game with a 9-1 win over No. 4-seed Campbellsville (KY) today at Hunter Wright Stadium.

Lindsey Wilson, the lone unbeaten team remaining in the double elimination tournament, plays at 1pmCT on Sunday against the team that emerges from the consolation bracket. The team which makes it out of the consolation bracket will have to beat the Blue Raiders twice to win the tournament title.

Dancing with the Stars for GCHS Project Graduation 2013

A special fundraising event for the 2013 Green County High School Proect Graduation, Dancing with the Stars, will be held Sunday, April 28, 2013, at Green County High School, 302 Brummal Avenue, Greensburg, KY 42743 with doors opening at 12pm noon CT and the program beginning at 2pmCT. There will be concessions, special entertainment including live commercials, and a silent auction. All proceeds, including $6. admission go to Project Graduation.

Dancers are Haley Judd and Mason Stone, Blayde Milby and Lani Bradshaw, Nash Johnson and Maelin Bailey, Kathy Jones and hailey Paige Scott, Grace Frank and Cheyeene Price, Layla Risen, Mickey and Sue Vaughn, Jeremy and Trish Hall, and Jim and Grace Frank.

Special entertainment will be by Kayla Estes, school dance teams, school choir, and live commercials. - Deana Parrott

Carrie Helen Lester Garrett, 81, Beaumont, KY (1932-2013)

"Helen" had a passion for cooking and fed numerous missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints of which she was a faithful member. Her church, her family, and her many neighbors and friends brought her much joy and contentment. She took great pride in keeping a nice home and also loved canning home-grown food and reading. In her later years, she kept busy as a home-health care-taker. She leaves 19 direct living descendants.

COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson College chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma National Criminal Justice Honor Society inducted six new members Friday night at the college's Roberta D. Cranmer Dining & Conference Center.

The six new members inducted were: Leah Brown of Columbia; Isaac Claywell of Somerset, KY; Brooke Lee of Lebanon, KY; Austin Shirley of Hodgenville, KY; and Melissa Wheeler of Elizabethtown, KY.

The chapter officers are president Chad Cole of Danville, KY; vice president Zeth Rogers of Greensburg, KY; and treasurer Catherine Ann Carmon of Morganfiled, KY The chapter adviser is Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice Michael Giordano.

Alpha Phi Sigma recognizes academic excellence among criminal justice undergraduate and graduate students as well as juris doctorate students.
