By Duane Bonifer News of Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY - A total of 19 works are featured in the spring Lindsey Wilson College Senior Art Show. The works include mixed media and oil paintings by three art majors who will graduate May 11 from the liberal arts college. The show, which will run through May 11, 2013, in the Lucretia C. Begley Art Gallery, features artists Betsy Durham of Buffalo, KY, Brittney Novickis of Appleton, WI, and Jessica Wethington of Columbia, KY. "Wood constructions, figure painting with exotic color schemes, and floral images," said LWC Professor of Art Tim Smith. "This year's group of graduating studio majors shows an exciting range of media and thematic exploration." Durham has five oil paintings the explore vibrant floral colors; Wethington has six oil paintings that use fluorescent and psychedelic colors to explore the human form; and Novickis has eight mixed media pieces in which she deconstructed wood pallets and mixed with other media to create a wide gamut of emotional expressions.
