Green River Hill Toll House photo brings back memories

Comments re photo 48184 Tebbs Bend Toll House renovation underway

Viola Willis Benaitis writes:
This picture reminds me of the stories our Dad told us about his Grandfather Jim Willis, and his brother (Coy Willis) who were living there and collecting the tolls for crossing the river, and how disappointed they were when the tolls came to an end. Someone in our family (a cousin) has some pictures from that era and one can see chickens in the yard and road. Gives new meaning to free range. -Viola Willis Benaitis
Thanks, Viola Willis Benaitis. Sure hope you can find the photos' owner and get them to share some with our readers. -EW
