Edward Winston McGuire, Taylor County, KY (1939 - 2013)

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School for more than twenty-five years. He has been affiliated with WTCO for more than 50 years; he was an educator with Taylor County Schools as a teacher and administrator; was with KET for 25 years as an educational consultant; and for many years was an instructor and consultant to Broadcast Services at Campbellsville University. He was he popular host of WLCU-Tv's cooking show.

Edward Winston (Ed) McGuire, 73, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 10:20pmET, Saturday, January 12, 2013, in Campbellsville. Age: 73

Funeral services will be at 10amCT/11amET, Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Carlis Compton, Rev. J. Alvin Hardy and Ron Rafferty. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.



Edward Winston McGuire, Taylor County, KY (1939 - 2013)

Edward Winston (Ed) McGuire was the son of the late William Winston McGuire and Gwendolyn Seaton McGuire. He was born in Boyd County, KY, Tuesday, February 14, 1939. He died Saturday, January 12, 2013, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY at the age of 73 years, 10 months, and 26 days.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School for more than twenty-five years.

He has been affiliated with WTCO for more than 50 years; he was an educator with Taylor County Schools as a teacher and administrator; was with KET for 25 years as an educational consultant; and for many years was an instructor and consultant to Broadcast Services at Campbellsville University. Besides his wife, Wilma W. McGuire, he is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters: Donna M. Berry and husband, Michael of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Lora M. Werner of Versailles, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Claire Berry Hebert and husband, Dustin of Baton Rouge, LA;, Benjamin Thomas Werner and wife, Jessica of Lafayette, LA; Anne Winston Berry and fiance', Ross LeBlanc of New Orleans, LA: and Edward Terrell Werner of Greensboro, NC

  • One brother: David S. McGuire and wife, Melissa of Newburgh, IN

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
