Annie Marie Creason Milby, Green Co., KY (1944-2012)

She was the matriarch of a large, respected Green County, KY, family. Her marriage to Charles Everett "Buck" Milby, who survives, endured 50 years and six days. She leaves 7 direct living descendants and five living step descendants. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Oak Forest Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a former Teacher's Aide for the Green County School System

Mrs. Annie Marie Creason Milby of Summersville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Rollin Creason and Valley Dangerfield Creason, was born on April 17, 1944 in Green County, and departed this life on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at the Campbellsville Health & Rehab Center. She was 68 years, eight months, and six days of age.

The funeral services for Mrs. Annie Marie Creason Milby will be conducted at 11amCT/12pm noon ET, Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main Street, Greensburg, KY with burial to follow in the Nearce-Milby Cemetery. Visitation is requested 4pm-8pmCT/5pm-9pmET Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT/8pmET, Thursday until time of the funeral.

Violet R. Thomas, Casey County, KY (1927-2012)

She was the matriarch of a respected Casey County, KY, family. She was the widow of Ralph Archibald Thomas. She leaves 36 direct living descendants. She was a homemaker and a member of the Oak Grove Church of Christ

Violet R. Thomas passed away Sunday December 23, 2012 at her home in Casey County, KY. She was 85.

Funeral services are 12pm noon CT/1pmET, Thursday December 27, 2012 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Gary Russell and Steve Russell officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Contown Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday 9amCT/10amET, until funeral service.

Patricia Wilbert, Adair County, KY (1942-2012)

She was a native of Jefferson County, KY, and the matriarch of a large, highly regarded Adair County, KY, family with many strong family ties in Jefferson County, KY, and elsewhere. She is survived by her husand, Don Wilbert, of Columbia, KY. She leaves 33 direct living descendants. She was a member of South Louisville Christian Church and a retired sales clerk for Stewart’s department store

Patricia Wilbert, 70, of Columbia, KY, formerly of Louisville, died Saturday, December 22, 2012 at her residence.

Memorial Service will be held Friday, December 28, 2012 at 1pmCT/2pmET at the First Christian Church, 317 Fairlane Drive (Map, Mount Washington, KY, with Bro. Hugh Withers officiating. Visitation will be with the family at the church after the service. Cremation has been chosen by the family.

Leonard E. Bryant, Adair County, KY (1921-2012)

He was a highly respected citizen and the patriarch of a great Adair County, KY family. His marriage to the Nellie Pearl Roberts Bryant endured an especially noteworthy 72 years. He leaves 79 direct living descendants. was a member of the New Hope Separate Baptist Church and was a saw mill operator for many years

Leonard E. Bryant, age 91 years of Columbia, KY passed away Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 4:45 pmCT, at the Summit Manor Health and Rehab Center in Columbia, KY.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 1pmCT/2pmET, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. David Coffey the officiating clergy. Interment will be in New Hope Cemetery, 131 New Hope Cemetery Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 4pmCT/5pmET, Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at the funeral home.

Site News: We're still posting essential news during holidays

While families are enjoying the holiday season - as we are, too - ColumbiaMagazine.com's holiday staff will continue to post as much of the essential news as we can, including Events, Weather Updates, new Christmas Cards - and we pray none happen, deaths - and, of course, additions to the Birthday's, In Memory Birthdays, and Anniversaries.

Just at midnight, an annniversary was added, and we just posted another In Memory Birthday. It's an exceptionally long list today - we hope you'll take time to scan them today. And if you're one of those whose birthday or anniversary gets lost in the Christmas rush, maybe you'll find time to let us know what it's like to have been a Christmas Eve or Christmas Day baby.

Billy Carol Wilborn, 63, Summer Shade, KY (d. Dec. 23, 2012)

He was a self-employed mechanic and the son of the late Leo and Thelma Miller. He was the patriarch of a respected family with deep roots in Metcalfe, Monroe and Barren Counties of South Central Kentucky. He leaves 12 direct living descendants.

Billy Carol Wilborn, age 63 of Indianapolis, Indiana, died there Sunday, December 23, 2012, at his home.

There will be no funeral service, as cremation was chosen. A private burial will be at a later date. McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, in charge of arrangements.
