Thanks to Fire Departments from one who remembers Hotel Fire Leshia Fair writes: I also commend the work of all the fire departments that assisted with the extinguishing of the building-fire on the square. These buildings are very aged and it had to require a lot of effort on their part to save as much as they did. I remember how fast the hotel was consumed. I was dreading coming onto the square and seeing another pile of rubbish in our hometown structure. Our little town is going through structure changes and I engage this with mixed feelings (sadness & excitement). But it is different when it is tragedy and not planned. Thanks again for doing the wonderful jobs that you do. We tend to take it for granted until we need them. And I hope that I never do, but it is good to know that you are there in case I or my family do. - Leshia FairComments re article 51619 Larry Smith Lets dont take what the firefighters did for granted 2012-05-01 10:27:10 | Comments | Printable version | See topic Letters and Reader Feedback
