Krupinski named Mid-South Conference Pitcher of the Week Lindsey Wilson College Softball By Chris Wells News from Lindsey Wilson College LOUISVILLE, KY - Lindsey Wilson College freshman Kristina Krupinski is the Mid-South Conference Pitcher of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday, April 30, 2012. The weekly award is Krupinski's first of the season and the first of her career. Krupinski won twice during the MSC Tournament last week, including a complete-game win in the tournament finals. The Elizabethtown, Ky., freshman earned the complete-game win, pitching seven innings with one run allowed on five hits in a 6-1 win over University of Rio Grande in her first appearance of the week. Krupinski struck out four batters and walked just one, throwing just 70 pitches in the game. Krupinski was rock solid in the MSC Tournament finals with a five-inning complete game win in the Blue Raiders 20-2 win over Campbellsville University. She allowed two runs on five hits while striking out four to help the Blue Raiders capture the program's third straight conference tournament title. With the two wins, Krupinski improves to 4-2 on the season with a 1.36 ERA. She has 51 strikeouts in 51-1/3 innings this season. Lindsey Wilson (45-12) earns the MSC's automatic bid into next month's NAIA Tournament in Gulf Shores, Ala. The Blue Raiders learn what pool they will be assigned to on Wednesday, May 9.
