Stivers: Tourism means $10 million yearly to local economy

National Tourism Week Spotlights Tourism's Local Benefits

In recognition of travel 's great impact on our city and county, the Columbia-Adair County Tourism Commission announced today that it plans to observe National Travel and Tourism Week May 5-13, 2012. Since 1983, the U.S. Travel Association has devoted a week each May to celebrate the industry around the Country and highlighting the tourism industry's importance in the Bluegrass State.



"National Travel and Tourism Week is a time when Columbia and Adair County focuses on the benefits of travel and tourism in our area," said Sue Stivers, Executive Director of the Columbia
