Ruth Butler was her favorite teacher

About: Remembering where romance started at Lindsey Wilson College story of Cortez and Ruth Sewell Butler homecoming to campus where they met, by Duane Bonifer

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

What a grand Lady and a lovely couple. I had the pleasure of being in Mrs. Butler's 3rd grade class over 40 years ago and I have always held fond memories of that time.

We attended Grandparent's Day at our Grandson's 5th grade class at Ann Mason Elementary in Georgetown, KY a few weeks ago and the children had a list of questions to ask us. One of the questions was who was my favorite teacher and why. I immediately said Mrs. Butler because she was so kind, caring and affectionate.

She had the most impact on my school years of any teacher I ever had. Thank you Mrs. Butler. You are still a beautiful lady. Happy Anniversary!

Mark Hale: A comment on man and the environment

After seeing photo: Kentucky Color: Tic Tac Toe

Comment by Mark Hale

Neat picture, I've always enjoyed anything to do with aircraft. I think the ability for us to fly is one of man's biggest accomplishments when it comes to inventions.

On the argument of climate change, I believe man should do things to help our environment, but at the same time we need not choke ourselves to the point we can't invent or keep on working.

We are keeping one, so there are three left to give away.

I want to thank the people who took our horses. They are going to a great home. I could tell they really loved animals. It's nice to know they will be taken care of. The same goes for our puppies.
