Melissa Keltner Keith awarded LCR Hospital Scholarship at SCC In addition to college, Fairplay, KY, resident, and 1988 graduate of Adair County High School, Columbia, KY, is also an office manager and works as a nurse's aid By David Cazalet, Jr. Melissa J. Keltner Keith of Columbia in Adair Co., KY was awarded a Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Scholarship to attend Somerset Community College for the 2009 Fall Semester. Melissa Keith is married to Clay LaDon Keith and they have three children: Anthony, 19; Johnathon, 17, and Dylon, 13. Her mother and father-in-law are Olie Clay and Betty Keith of Fairplay, Kentucky. The Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Scholarship provides scholarships for students in the health careers program at SCC. The scholarship was established in 1996. "We are happy to award Melissa this scholarship so that she can fulfill her educational goals," said Dr. Jo Marshall, the President and CEO of SCC. Keith graduated from Adair County High School in 1988. She was a member of the National Honor Society. While attending SCC, Keith has maintained a grade point average of 3.8. She is majoring in the Physical Therapy Assistant Program at SCC. In addition to attending college, Keith works as a nurse aide and office manager.
