Ruth Butler was her favorite teacher

About: Remembering where romance started at Lindsey Wilson College story of Cortez and Ruth Sewell Butler homecoming to campus where they met, by Duane Bonifer

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

What a grand Lady and a lovely couple. I had the pleasure of being in Mrs. Butler's 3rd grade class over 40 years ago and I have always held fond memories of that time.

We attended Grandparent's Day at our Grandson's 5th grade class at Ann Mason Elementary in Georgetown, KY a few weeks ago and the children had a list of questions to ask us. One of the questions was who was my favorite teacher and why. I immediately said Mrs. Butler because she was so kind, caring and affectionate.

She had the most impact on my school years of any teacher I ever had. Thank you Mrs. Butler. You are still a beautiful lady. Happy Anniversary!

s/Dotty Bragg Coffey
