The Louisville Ronald McDonalds was waiting with open arms Delivering the much needed supplies given by the people of Adair County to the Ronald McDonald House in Louisville left an indelible impression on the volunteer driver of the 10-ft. U-Haul By Patricia Kimbler Volunteer driver of Wish List truck to Louisville Ronald McDonald House I was so privileged to be able to drive the U-Haul last night and deliver all the items Columbia sent to this wonderful house of love... My son Jonathan and his girlfriend Courtney came along for the ride and to help unload, It was a true experience for them also, to be able to give back and see how appreciated it was. Elizabeth Bowling and Rhonda Pait were advance party for us Elizabeth Bowling and Rhonda Pait from the House had came down to help. They arrived back in L-ville with a truck bed load of supplies right before we did. They went in to gather the troops to help unload, a couple of staff members, and a few families that were staying there for the night had come out to help unload. About that time we rolled up in a 10ft U-Haul full of wonderful supplies much needed for the caring place, a home away from home for families caught in a situation that humbles them. To have looked in their eyes and to haveseen what we saw, when we raised the door on that truck, overwhelmed all of us. There were donations made in the form of money and don't get me wrong - I feel that is wonderful and they need plenty of money, so the house can buy the things they know they need, that we may not be aware of. In saying that, if you could have only experienced the emotion and gratitude, my children and I felt last night, I feel the the act of actually taking the time of going to the store and picking up items, simple needed items like toothpaste, bottled water, Kool-aid, toiletries, to just name a few, meant so much... This is what caring and taking care of our beautiful nation is - what it is all about. If the world leaders would get back to caring about the people in this world, and made their decisions from the heart, we would be in such better shape. The possibilities would be endless.
