About: "Julie Brockman 2009 CAC Outstanding Educator of the Year"

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

We would like to congratulate Julie Brockman on her most deserved award.

Our youngest son was a handful in school and it was Julie that helped to lead him in the right direction.

She made learning fun and exciting for him. Even after he graduated her class, he would attend Camp Casey after school, where he always wanted to be in whatever she was teaching.

Julie is not only a wonderful teacher but a great person all around.

Thank you so much Julie for being there to help our youth get a great start in their education.

Writes in defense of tobacco farmers

About: "Information wanted on growing tobacco"

I give praise not ridicule to the hard working farmers both past and present that made a living or are trying to make a living raising tobacco and other crops for their families.
