Crash at 10:45pm near Sano takes life of Columbia driver

COLUMBIA, KY - The Kentucky State Police are investigating a collision that occurred on April 21, 2009 on KY1729, the Sano Road, at the Adair County, Russell County line.

At approximately 10:45pmCT, Tammy M. Parke, 37, of Columbia, KY, was traveling south on the KY1729 in a 1995 Ford Explorer when she lost control of the vehicle exiting a curve.



Parke left the roadway, struck an earth embankment, and overturned.

Parke was pronounced dead at the scene by the Adair county coroner.

Parke was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision. Tpr. Dewayne Holder of Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY, is the investigating officer.

Also assisting at the scene were the Adair County Sheriff's Office, Adair County Fire and Rescue, and Adair County EMS.
