Darren Ballou scores 31 in Indian romp, 81-47

The crowd was not big, but they enjoyed quite a show as Adair County overwhelmed North Oldham County in the Saturday afternoon, February 7, 2009, make-up game at Adair County High School Gym. Coach Mark Fudge's team had its biggest margin of the 2008-2009 season, 34 points, and remains unbeaten in home play.

It was a huge game for Morehead State University-bound Darren Ballou. The 6-8 center scored 31 points. "That's the same as his shirt number," Ballou's grandfather, Joe Ballou, who has been keeping stats on Darren for his entire high school career.

Adair County, now 18-6 on the season, faces Bethlehem on Tuesday night, away, at 7:00pmCT. That will be followed by a three game home stand for Coach Mark Fudge's team. They remaining games are as follows:
  • Friday, February 13, 2009 vs. Russell County
  • Tuesday, February 17, 2009 vs. Bardstown
  • Friday, February 20, 2009 vs. Hart County
All the games start at 7:00pmCT.
