Adair County Football gets big district win at Hart County

Indidans beat Hart County 25-7

Adair County Football gets a big district win at Hart County on Friday, October 24, 2008, as they defeated the Raiders by a score of 25-7. The Indians traveled to Munfordville with a 2-4 record, hoping to continue their winning streak by taking on the Raiders of Hart County, who came into the game with a 4-3 record.

Bloomington Chapel Fundraiser Sat. , Nov. 15, 2008

BENEFITS & FUNDRAISERS

Bloomington Chapel will be having a Country Ham Supper and cake walk on Saturday, November 15, 2008.. Come enjoy a country ham supper with all the fixin's. Meal will include dessert and drink. We'll also have hamburgers and hot dogs. The Goodins will be singing. All proceeds go to the building fund. Go up KY 206 approx. 6 1/2 miles. Turn left onto Snake Creek Road. Defending KY Champion Marching Indians in BG Regionals

Regional competition starts at 6:00pmCT. ACHS performs at 8:15pm tonight.

The defending Kentucky State Champion Marching Band fromAdair County High School, is competing in the Kentucky Music Education Association Class AAA West Regonal this evening, Saturday, Octobe 25, 2008, at Warren East High School, 6867 Louisville Road, Bowling Green, KY.

Adair County will be the first band to compete after the 15-minute break starting at 8:00pm.

Taylor Extension office offers exercise classes, daily

Classes start November 3, 2008
Exercise is important for all ages and stages. Free exercise classes will be offered every afternoon from 4:00-5:00pmET at the Taylor County Extension Office, beginning November 3, 2008. Mindful Movement is for beginners or those unable to do vigorous or aerobic exercise. Emphasis is an improving range of motion, strength, balance and flexibility. These are offered on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The Walking Group meets on Tuesday and Thursday. They use a video and welcome co-walkers. Small dog found near fire department, Wednesday afternoon

I found a dog in front of the fire department Wednesday afternoon, October 22, 2008. The dog is very friendly and loves kids. I think that someone has lost their pet. The dog is a male, small breed, tan with some white on top of his head and has wavy hair. Friday night the Adair County Jay Cee's Haunted House open with a gang of ghoulish characters waiting to greet it's visitors. The Haunted House will be open Saurday and Sunday. Extension Homemakers Christmas Bazaar is Nov. 22, 2006

The Adair County Extension Homemakers will hold their annual Christmas Bazaar at the County Extension Office, Fairgrounds Street, in Columbia, on Saturday, November 22, 2008, from 8:00am to 1:00pm. Featured for sale will be homemade jams, jellies, cinnamon buns, cakes, pies, candies, cookies, and other delicioius baked goods. Handmade crafts and holiday decorations, candles, throws, raffle baskets, and frequent door prizes will round out the day.

Adair County Little League Basketball Sign-Ups, Girls and Boys grades K-6, will be held at 5:30pm-7:00pmCT Thursday, October 16 and October 23, 2008, at the football field behind CWC. On Saturday, October 18 and October 25, 2008 at Adair County Middle School gym from 10:00am-12:00pmCT. Anyone wanting to coach or play should be there to sign-up. Pickett's Chapel United Methodist Church in the Portland Community, Teen class is sponsoring a corn toss tournament Saturday October 25, 2008 at the church. Registration starting at 10:00am to 10:45amCT. Entry fee is $20.00 per team bring your own partner, double elimination; the winners will split the pot 50/50. There will also be hamburgers, hotdogs, drinks, and other food items to buy.
