Lexington man indicted for possession with intent to distribute fentanyl

"We are fortunate to have seized this fentanyl before it was distributed," said Kerry B. Harvey, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky. " Minute quantities of fentanyl can be deadly. Given the damage fentanyl has caused in central Kentucky, it's staggering to consider the harm that would have been done by these drugs on the streets of our community."
An indictment is an allegation only. All defendants are presumed innocent and are entitled to a fair trial, at which the government must prove their guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

From U.S. Attorney's Office
U.S. Department of Justice, Eastern District of Kentucky

LEXINGTON, KY - A Lexington man, who will appear in Court this afternoon, has been charged with possession with intent to distribute large quantities of fentanyl in Fayette County.

Clinicians comment on recorded performances, and then perform a second time. It was a very exciting and informative weekend

By Summer Kemp

The accompany photos were taken at the first annual Lafayette Invitational where bands were recorded and had a session following their performance with a clinician. The band was taken to an auditorium where they were able to watch the recorded show and hear comments from the clinician about the show.

They then performed a second time where they were judged yet again. Clinicians were in the judges box and on the field as they performed. We were rated against some of the best bands in the state. This was a very exciting and informative weekend. - Summer

Comment: September

Linda Waggener writes:
Billy Joe Fudge, your "September" story, poem and photo provided wonderful reminders of the gifts of seasonal change we receive in Kentucky! I can almost hear your mother reciting that poem and I think of my own who frequently quotes her favorite, Maud Muller, "...on a summers day raked the meadow sweet with hay..." I'll think of your mother's poem each time I take a picture of Goldenrod this season. Thank you for sharing! --Linda

Sharon Whitehurst comments on eternal verities of nature

Sharon Whitehurst writes:
I appreciate the modern devices by which we can modify heat or cold --especially as we've added these amenities to our Amish-built houses.

I hope we are teaching our children and grandchildren to notice and appreciate the changes of seasons in their endless circle...'the eternal verities' of nature. As Billy Joe Fudge has so aptly written, we will be collectively and individually impoverished if that awareness is diminished. --Sharon Whitehurst
