Geniece Marcum shares a final thought on taste of water Geniece Leftwich Marcum remembered how they got water 75 or so years ago in Metcalfe County. At the farm, on the Little Barren River behind Bowling Park, her family carried it in from the spring on the 80-acre farm. As a student in Bellview School she would be given her assigned rotation to go to the nearby spring for water with a fellow student, usually Georgia Nell Coffey. Rev. Greg Rueda, 61, Taylor Co., KY (1955-2016) Rev. Rueda was a retiree of CSX Transportation, where he had worked several years as a supervisor on the railway lines. After a lengthy courtship, he married his sweetheart Brenda Graham on April 15, 2015 and together they shared many distinctive experiences. Rev. Reuda professed faith in Christ. He was a member of the Robinson Creek Baptist Church. Ever selfless, he gained great joy from encouraging others in their walk with Christ, and his considerate heart allowed him to instantly connect with and uplift those of all faiths and denominations. Fentanyl-laced Heroin from Detroit destroying lives here By Pastor John Chowning Saloma Baptist Church in Taylor County, KY Our local community has recently experienced a rash of drug overdoses resulting in at least one, and maybe two, deaths. A large number of emergency calls were made reporting overdoses in the community. The scourge of substance abuse and drug addiction is rampant in Campbellsville-Taylor County as well as across the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the United States. All segments of society are impacted by drug and alcohol addiction and abuse. It is no respecter of race, creed, religious affiliation, economic and social status, or political party - there are virtually no families who haven't been impacted by this crisis. We see young lives being destroyed and some snatched away into eternity because of drug abuse and resulting overdoses. Marshall F. McAninch, Casey County, KY (1942-2016) Marshall F. McAninch (June 24, 1942 - August 27, 2016): He graduated from Middleburg High School and attended Campbellsville University and Eastern Kentucky University. Marshall was a retiree of IBM/Lexmark, a Kentucky Colonel and a former Richmond City Commissioner. His first Commission race was won by a flip-of-the-coin. His greatest accomplishment was the creation of the Recycling Program. His wife of 52 years, Vivien Durham McAninch, survives. He leaves six direct living descendants.
